Travel inland by coach to Meekatharra and immerse into the rich indigenous and gold mining culture

Meekatharra is a Yamatji word meaning 'place of little water' and is in the Mid West region of Western Australia. The largest centre in the Murchison region, Meekatharra is a thriving mining, sheep and cattle district. Originally a gold prospecting town, first settled in 1896, the town and surrounding area features a host of old mining pits and relics from the Australian gold rush era.
