Express, Hop on Hop off and Charter Transport

I think I've blinked and missed most of 2019 so far. How many sleeps until Christmas? Actually, don't tell me! For most, now is a time to start winding down and preparing for 2020, but here at the Integrity office, it has been busy, busy, busy with charters, taking bookings, helping plan travel itineraries and getting people organised for their planned 2020 trips. Because of the 12 month expiry, Hop on Hop off Passes are proving to be a great gift, either for themselves or for their loved ones and we love it! If you are interested on giving the gift of a travel voucher, let us know.  We can keep a secret, I promise!

One of the many popular destinations along our route is Carnarvon, known for its amazing produce and seafood as well as being a lovely, friendly town to visit.

Carnarvon

With an average temperature of 26'C, Carnarvon can can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Exmouth in summer and 10 degrees warmer than Perth in winter.

January - April is turtle nesting and hatching season. Kite surfing and coral spawning are also popular events and when the manta rays visit. Whale sharks are also entering the area.

May - August the Humpacks are migrating through and the Whale sharks are leaving the area. Surfing throughout these months is optimal. Manta rays are abundant and make for beautiful underwater photography subjects.

September - December sees the end to the Humpback migration and turtle nesting begin again. It's a prime time for kite and wind surfing .

Any time of the year is a good time to snorkel, swim and beach fish!

If your bored, your not doing it right! With so much to see and do, you will have to ensure you make enough time to fit it all in! Here are a couple of places to add onto your itinerary when in Carnarvon;

One Mile Jetty Interpretive Centre – Built in 1897, One Mile Jetty is currently closed to visitors, however an Interpretive Centre has opened. Daily 9am to 4pm from April to October with shortened opening times from November to March. Enter Sunsets Café to gain entry into the One Mile Jetty Interpretative Centre.

Close to to the One Mile Jetty, in the Heritage Precinct you will find the Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage Museum. Free to enter and displaying pieces that date back to the 1900’s, the Museum is a wonderful way to learn about Carnarvon’s history and how life was lived at the turn of the last century. A display covering Carnarvon tales about whaling, pastoral farming and livestock and Indigenous culture. It’s a captivating way to explore the heritage-packed region.

The Heritage Precinct takes you back in time and offers visual wonderment with local, original Aboriginal artwork, colonial objects and photographs as well as a large projection wall showing old pictures of the jetty.

Open every Saturday from May to October, the local Weekly Farmer’s Market has great produce such bananas, mangoes and locally grown organic vegetables. Wander around with a delicious homemade ice cream and look at the locally made items or stop to listen to local buskers.  The markets operate directly outside of the Carnarvon Visitor Centre.

High Street is known for its character where even on a short walk, you will find delightful cafes, charming heritage buildings and wonderful shop front displays.

Integrity Coach Lines arrive into Carnarvon from both North and South direction, 6 times per week. Visit as part of your Hop on Hop off itinerary!
